The Mental Health Commission of Canada offers a variety of webinars for health professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic. Their commitment is to share credible information and resources about maintaining mental health during this time of crisis, and supporting people managing a mental illness in this new context.
School-Based Telepractice Webinars (EN)
These presenters have developed the following series of video webinars for school-based speech-language pathologists who implemented telepractice during COVID-19 school closures. Topics covered in the videos include overview of telepractice, troubleshooting issues with telepractice sessions, speech and language telepractice intervention, and progress-monitoring speech and language intervention via telepractice.
Telerehabilitation for Children and Youth with Disabilities: Evidence and Perspectives (EN)
In this recorded webinar, the results of a systematic review conducted at McGill University, are presented. Existing strategies will be outlined, along with their features: target population, platforms used, recipient, focus, and discipline. The effectiveness and levels of evidence for existing telerehabilitation approaches will be presented.
Virtual Rehabilitation Module Series (EN)
The American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation’s (AACVPR) Virtual Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Module Series is a new educational offering that will guide professionals through evidence-based virtual delivery, components of delivery, regulatory considerations, real-world case studies and more. This resource will provide practical hands-on knowledge that can be immediately applied in patient care.
